Stop Thinking About Your Problems

The first step towards a better and more fulfilled life is when you actually stop thinking about your problems. You might have heard it before – where your attention goes, energy flows. Pause for a moment, buy a journal, and start recording the thoughts that run around in your mind.

You will want to assess how much time you spend ruminating and obsessing over your problems. If you are like most people, you are likely to start obsessively thinking about your problems from the moment you wake up until the last minute when you fall asleep. 

To dramatically improve your life, you will want to take control of the boat that you are sailing. The worst thing you can do is to be on a rudderless boat that can take you in any direction without you having any control over it.

Take Daily Walks

Make sure that you go outside every day. You can step out of the house for a walk or a bit of sun-soaking and even dance in the rain. The mental wellness advantages of being outside are countless, which include that you will have a lower risk of depression, faster psychological stress recovery, and it can help you restore and strengthen your mental capabilities.

If you ever feel depressed, you will turn to the natural psychologist first, which is to surround yourself with nature. According to research, nature is soothing and it can help you tremendously with eliminating your stress levels. 

You don’t necessarily have to spend a lot of time outside – a ten-minute walk can suffice to make you feel better and rejuvenated. The better you will feel inside, the more life you can enjoy. 

Keep a Journal

You will want to avoid getting into a repetitive loop where you keep thinking about everything that is wrong in your life. Now, here is the thing: if you have the habit of journaling and are actually someone who can think of their issues in a constructive way, this ever-ending loop of thoughts is making you feel drained and bad. 

Here is what you will want to do: grab a journal and pen and write out your problematic thoughts and real-life problems. Once you have jotted down everything, you will want to cross out what you cannot control. This will leave you with the things that you can control, which can get you in a proactive mindset rather than a reactive one. 

Visualize Every Morning 

You will want to follow the golden rule of going to bed early and waking up early the next morning, especially when you want to improve your emotional and mental well-being. Nonetheless, you will want to get up early as a way to set the tone for the day and carry out a dedicated morning ritual.

Speaking of the morning ritual, you will want to avoid picking up your phone first thing in the morning. Instead, you will want to look at the vision board and take at least five minutes to visualize where you want to be in life within the next five years.

By doing this first thing in the morning, you will set the intentions for the day, and your subconscious mind will start to work in your favor and prompt you to take the actions that are needed to move closer to your goals.

For instance, if your goal is to become a picture book writer and you vision yourself becoming a best-seller, you will do the actions that are required to publish a picture book, which includes taking classes to write better and learning how to write a picture book query letter before you send your query to an agent who will then help you to get your book published.

You get the point – everything starts with visualizing. Once you steer your mind in the right direction, you will take the necessary actions that will help you get closer to your life goals. You cannot live a better-quality life without having goals and you cannot reach your goals until you take the necessary steps and get rid of self-doubt. 

Cover Your Basics

To dramatically improve your life, you will want to ensure that your basics are covered, which include your diet, sleep, meditation, and exercise. The point is to have a strong and solid foundation that you can use to build on. You will see that your life can actually thrive. 

To make the most of life, you need a solid foundation to work with, which is why you will want to take care of your body, brain, and spirit with the daily upkeep that will work in your favor. 

Stretch Your Comfort Zone

Every day, you will want to do something that scares you. Having new experiences is essential if you want to live a better-quality and essentially interesting life. Even as an introvert, you might want to force yourself to do the things that you could have never anticipated that you could do, such as meeting new people and going to social gatherings.

The purpose is to extend your capabilities and to expand your horizons. Personal growth will make you feel purposeful and integrate a sense of joy. So, you will want to ask yourself the important question of what scares you and what is the one thing that you have wanted to do for a long time but you simply don’t have the courage to do.
